Terms of service

Draft for review. Replace everything in [square brackets] and have this checked by a solicitor before you take payments.

Last updated [date]. These terms are between you and [CircuitPT Ltd / your trading name], [registered address], company number [number] ("CircuitPT", "we"). By creating an account or buying a plan you agree to them.

The service

CircuitPT analyses data files from your own data logger (such as Racelogic VBOX, MoTeC, AiM and Cosworth) and presents lap, corner and braking analysis, reports and written debriefs, including debriefs written with the help of an AI model. Analysis is a guide to help you improve. It is not a guarantee of results, and you remain responsible for how you drive and for your own safety and that of others.

Accounts

You need an account to analyse your own files. Keep your password private. Each plan covers a set number of devices (browsers): two for Pro Monthly and Pro Yearly, five for Team. Team accounts are for one team and its members, not for resale. A Team account comes with five driver logins: the team account holder sets their passwords, is responsible for who they are given to, and their access ends when the Team plan ends. The AI allowance of a Team plan is shared by the team account and its driver logins.

Plans and payment

Pro Monthly is £29.99 a month, Pro Yearly is £299.99 a year and Team is £139.99 a month, each billed in advance and renewing automatically until you cancel. If you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. Prices include VAT where it applies. Payments are processed by Stripe. We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days' notice by email; the new price applies from your next billing date after the notice.

Cancelling

You can cancel a subscription at any time from your account. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for, and we do not refund part periods. [Consumers: you have a legal right to cancel within 14 days. Because you get access straight away, at checkout you agree that the service starts immediately and that you lose this right once you start using it. Confirm the exact wording with your solicitor.]

Fair use

Each plan includes a monthly allowance of AI debriefs and questions (60 for Pro, 300 for Team) that resets on the 1st of each month. Do not attempt to get round device limits, share your account outside your plan, or interfere with the service.

Intellectual property

CircuitPT belongs to [CircuitPT Ltd / your trading name] and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. That includes its software and code, its analysis as built into the software, its design and layout, its text, guides and graphics, the layout of its reports, and the CircuitPT name and logo. While your plan is active we give you a personal licence, which you cannot transfer, to use CircuitPT for your own driving or, on a Team plan, your team's. Nothing in these terms gives you ownership of any part of CircuitPT.

You must not do any of the following, or help anyone else to:

You may share the reports and exports you make with CircuitPT, such as your PDF reports and race reports, with anyone you like, for example your team, engineer or coach.

The CircuitPT name and logo are our trade marks. Do not use them, or anything confusingly similar, without our written permission. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely and owe you nothing for them.

If you break this section, we may suspend or close your account straight away, without a refund, and we may take legal action.

Your data

Your files, notes and logo are yours. We store them to provide the service, as set out in our privacy policy, and you can delete them at any time.

Availability and liability

We aim to keep CircuitPT available but cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error free. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes and law

We may update these terms and will tell you by email about important changes. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Questions: info@circuitpt.com.
